ACP Decries Withdrawal from Climate Agreement

Washington (June 1, 2017)—The United States' withdrawal from the Paris climate agreement will greatly undermine the global effort to prevent and mitigate the devastating impact of climate change on human health, said the American College of Physicians (ACP) today. President Trump announced this afternoon that the U.S. will withdraw from the multi-national 2015 agreement to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

About 50 percent of Americans older than 50 are at risk for osteoporotic fracture

Philadelphia, May 9, 2017 -- The American College of Physicians (ACP) recommends in an evidence-based clinical practice guideline published today in Annals of Internal Medicine that physicians treat women with osteoporosis with bisphosphonates (alendronate, risedronate, or zoledronic acid) or denosumab, a biologic agent.
