Internal Medicine Physicians Say Increased Transparency into Nursing Home Ownership is Important Step in Improving Care

WASHINGTON February 14, 2023 – The American College of Physicians (ACP) is glad to see new efforts from the Biden Administration that seek to improve transparency into the ownership of nursing homes. A proposed rule, released by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) yesterday, would require Medicare skilled nursing facilities and Medicaid nursing facilities to report ownership and management data to CMS.
