ACP MKSAP CME, MOC, and CPD Information for Physicians
The American College of Physicians is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
The American College of Physicians designates this enduring material for a maximum of 300 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 300 medical knowledge MOC points in the American Board of Internal Medicine’s (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credit claimed for the activity. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.
CME credit and MOC points are available from February 3, 2025, to December 31, 2025. CME availability will renew on a calendar-year basis.
The American Medical Association has determined that physicians not licensed in the United States who participate in this CME activity are eligible for AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.
How to Submit for CME/MOC
To earn CME credit or to apply for MOC points, answer at least one of two questions correctly (earning a score of at least 50%). Each single ACP MKSAP self-assessment question qualifies for one quarter of an AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™ or ABIM MOC point. Enter your answers by accessing the MKSAP Questions through the left-panel Questions Bank tab. Start answering randomized questions from all content areas by clicking “Answer Questions,” or choose a content area to answer questions on that content. When you qualify for CME credit and are ready to submit, click the CME/MOC/CPD tab in the left-panel menu. Use the “Claim Credit Now” button to submit. Learners should keep in mind their yearly CME and MOC deadlines when determining the appropriate time to submit. You can track your CME/MOC submission progress and print out certificates on the ACP MKSAP CME/MOC/CPD page.
