Turning a Clinical Case into Scholarly Work (2:15pm - 3:45pm)
This program is designed to help medical students learn how to identify, claim, research, and submit clinical case report abstracts. Emphasis will be placed on the steps necessary to submit high-quality case report abstracts to scientific meetings and medical journals.

Enjoy watching this fast-paced, Jeopardy-style program in which resident winners from local chapters test their knowledge of internal medicine.

Hosted by the Council of Student Members, this event will be facilitated by residency program directors and will address the questions and concerns of international medical students. Representatives from the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates (ECFMG) will also be available to offer advice to international medical students.

This is a ticketed event. Medical students are invited to gather with internist mentors to discuss career options in internal medicine. Students are encouraged to register for this event onsite at the Medical Student Welcome Center located in the Convention Center throughout the meeting.

Medical Student Abstract Presentation Luncheon (10:00am – 12:30 pm)

Winners of the competition present their award-winning work in the Research and Clinical Vignette categories. Complimentary boxed lunches will be provided. All winner and finalist abstracts will be available on our Web site.
