Meet the New Governor-elect Designee - Texas Northern

Congratulations to the Texas Northern Chapter Governor-elect Designee (GED), Cynthia A. Jumper, MD, MPH, MACP. Our new GED will complete a year of training as a Governor-elect and then will start their four-year term as Governor in the Spring of 2025. As Governor, Dr. Jumper will serve as the official representative of the College for our Chapter, providing a link between members at the local level and leadership at the national level. In the meantime, Dr. Jumper will be working closely with Dr. Khetan (the current governor) and College staff to learn about the College and their duties as Governor. Other Appointments and Activities: Founding Member, West Texas Mental Health Collaborative since 2020; I help staff a student-run free clinic; Consultant to the State of Texas for ventilator and respiratory therapy DME pandemic purchases 2020; Prior to the last 3 years I have served in a large teaching hospital as Chief of Staff (10 years), Vice President for Faculty Affairs (10 years), and I served as Service Chief for Internal Medicine for 10 years.
