A coalition of state medical societies and national specialty organizations congratulate House and Senate negotiators on the introduction of H.R. 4015/ S. 2000, the SGR Repeal and Medicare Provider Payment Modernization Act of 2014. Now, Congress is closer than it has ever been to enacting fiscally prudent legislation that would repeal Medicare's fatally flawed sustainable growth rate (SGR) formula. It is critically important to build on this work and maintain the momentum.
