Financial Management Tools
This toolkit contains a series of spreadsheets intended to give you or your office manager templates for monitoring key financial indicators within your practice. These reports can be used for a variety of purposes and, if used wisely, can help you work smarter. The purpose is to condense, organize, and present critical information in the way you need it to run your practice and to make effective management decisions.
Billing & Collection Manual
This Billing and Collections Manual describes the different work functions involved in the reimbursement process and is organized based on the normal flow of this work. The Billing and Collection Manual requires a login and can only be accessed by ACP Members.
EFT and ERA
Health plans pay claims through the Automated Clearing House (ACH) Network, sending the electronic funds transfer (EFT) and the electronic remittance advice (ERA) transmissions in different electronic formats, often at different times. This fact sheet helps practices understand how to reconcile these transactions to patients in accounts receivable systems.
Payment Model Evaluation Tools
AMA and RAND created two resources to help physician practices when evaluating bundled or episode-based and pay-for-performance agreements. Access Resources. (Note: Accessing these resources may require registration on the AMA site.)

Below are a series of articles from ACP Internist that explore other ways to improve the financial performance of your practice.
