Dee A. Moonesinghe, MD, MBA, CPE, FACP, ACP Governor
Dear Indiana ACP Colleagues,
I do hope that you are all staying warm this winter, knowing that spring is around the corner. With so much being thrown at us in the news with change and uncertainty, let this serve as a gentle reminder to find your anchor within yourselves, your family, your patients or practice.
I am certainly looking forward to seeing many of you at ACP National, on April 3rd to 5th, in New Orleans. The Indiana Chapter will be joining forces with several other chapters this year, for a very special social celebration, as we take over the Aquarium for the night. We will, as always, be celebrating with several poster presenters, new fellows, and our very own Doctor's Dilemma team of course.
Leadership Day will also take place shortly thereafter, at the end of the month, and the Indiana ACP Chapter will be sending a delegation with practicing physicians, medical students and leaders from the Governor's Council as well. We look forward to bringing some key pieces of legislation to Capitol Hill.
But before all of that, please try and join us, as we travel to Fort Wayne for our annual Meet and Greet on Friday, March 14th. We hope to see as many of the residents, and practicing physicians as we can, as we continue to strengthen the ACP bond, and spread the message across the state.
For those of you who cannot join us in person, please always know that the ACP website is so very full of resources for each of us, no matter what stage of practice, or our need, from CME needs, to advocacy to clinical information.

I had the recent blessing of getting the chance to travel halfway around the globe, back home, to Sri Lanka. As I reflect back on how lucky I am to have “two homes”, I ask each of you to always take time to push pause and be, for just a moment. Breathe. Give gratitude, for everything we have, as we continue to strive to make the world just a little better tomorrow than it might be today. And remember that self-care is not selfish.
Be well and stay well, always,
Dee
