Candidate Bios

Candidate Statement: Thank you for considering me for the role of ACP-Wisconsin Chapter Governor. I am excited at the opportunity to increase my participation in and contribution to ACP-WI and ACP national. My personal interests are health equity and medical education, and ACP-WI has given me the chance to engage in both. As previous Chair of the Resident/Fellow Committee and current Chair of the newly formed Education Committee, we have increased participation and engagement by asking for input from learners and faculty at associated programs; the feedback we have gotten thus far has been excellent. Because of my background in public policy and health disparities, I joined ACP-WI’s Health and Public Policy Committee and helped to co-author a recent resolution. I hope to have the opportunity to build on Dr. Maguire’s excellent leadership by expanding our Chapter’s engagement in these and other key areas, ensuring our ACP-WI’s ongoing success for future members.
