Voting Information

Voting for the next Governor-elect begins September 27, 2024, and concludes on November 1, 2024.

Eligible voting members (MACPs, FACPs, Members, and 2-year Resident/Fellow Members with an elect date of 9/1/2022 or earlier) will receive an election email containing their unique and personal voting credentials to vote online.

  • Ballot materials are not sent from ACP directly. ACP has partnered with Survey & Ballot Systems (SBS) to conduct the election.
  • Please add noreply@directvote.net as an approved sender so that your ballot arrives safely in your inbox. The subject of the ballot email is “Vote Now! ACP 2024 Governor-elect Election Voting Information”.

Candidate Bios

Candidate Statement: Because of my organisational achievements in CCM and record in promoting CCM and CPR. I (a Fellow of ACP) would like to consider myself for position of Governor of Bangladesh Chapter of ACP. The following will support my candidacy. • Founder President, Bangladesh Society of Critical Care Medicine (BSCCM) 2009 to 2022. • President, Bangladesh Life Support Foundation 2012 and has been training doctors and nurses in different places in Bangladesh in basic and advanced CPR through this foundation. • Established MD (postgraduate) course in CCM in Bangladesh 2007. So far close to 100 physicians have qualified in this course. • Established model ICUs in ten different general hospitals in Bangladesh. Since 2000. • Pioneer in establishing CPR workshops in major hospitals of Bangladesh since 1995. Has personally certified more than 4000 doctors & nurses. • Organised five International conferences in CCM in Bangladesh since 2013.

Medical School Education: Chittagong Medical College

Post-Doctoral Training: Internal medicine; Emergency Medicine

Board Certifications: ABIM 1982; ABEM 1990, Certification expired 2011

Present Employment Position: Chief Consultant, Critical Care Medicine and Emergency Medicine

ACP Chapter and Leadership Activities: As President of Bangladesh Society of Critical Care Medicine (CCM) hosted international congress on CCM in Dhaka, Bangladesh in 2022. Maintained liaison with office bearers of Bangladesh chapter of ACP and had them involved in academic program of the CCM congress

ACP National Activities: Fellowship 2003

Other Appointments/Activities: As President of Bangladesh Society of Critical care Medicine hosted International conference on CCM in 2023 in Bangladesh; Lifetime achievement award for contribution in Medicine by Chittagong Medical College alumni of N A in its global reunion in New York in 2023; Involved in management of critically ill COVID-19 patients at United Hospital ICU between 2020-23.
