Hello,
As we embrace the changing seasons, April brings with it a sense of renewal and opportunity. I am thrilled to share the latest updates and upcoming events with all of you. You will often hear me speak of being mindful, and about change being constant. Being an Indiana resident for about 25 years now, I am often reminded that the changing seasons are one of my most favorite things about being here – a sign that all things are temporary, a reminded to truly live in the present, to make the most of this moment, this season.
Amidst our busy schedules and daily commitments, it is always essential to prioritize our well-being. Taking moments to pause, reflect, and nurture our mental and emotional health can significantly enhance our overall quality of life. Whether it is through meditation, yoga, or simply spending time in nature, finding practices that resonate with you is key. Remember, self-care is not selfish—it is a vital aspect of maintaining balance and resilience in our lives. After just spending a very invigorating couple of weeks in my first home, Sri Lanka, I am even more resolved that we can only give the best of ourselves when our own cups are full.
As we move forward into the month ahead, let's make a collective commitment to prioritize self-care and support one another on our wellness journeys, so we are our full selves for our families and our patients, as we create a community that thrives not only in our pursuits but also in our overall happiness and fulfillment.
Once again, a reminder to make the most of your ACP membership and the many resources offered online. Physician Well-being and Professional Fulfillment Program

ACP IN Annals of Internal Medicine Clinical Cases Publication Fund
Case reports and case series play a crucial role in sharing knowledge and fostering mentorship among internists. Despite their importance, high publication costs hinder their dissemination. ACP Indiana hopes to aid aspiring scholars by offering the ACP Indiana Open Access Fund.
The fund is available to support publication fees for articles accepted to the Annals of Internal Medicine Clinical Casesfor ACP Indiana members and will support publication fees for two publications each quarter.
