There are so many great resources on the ACP website that it can be easy to overlook very helpful information. In this section of the newsletter, we will highlight specific resources that may be of interest to ECPs.
Coding Tips and Guidance
In the Practice Resources section of ACP Online, you will find a page with helpful information on coding and billing. We found this page incredibly helpful to walk us through the changes to the E/M documentation requirements made on January 1, 2021. There are helpful graphics and explanations of how to interpret the new rules, as well as a voiceover PowerPoint explaining the changes. There is also information on COVID-19 and telehealth billing.
Pain Management Learning Hub
One in five U.S. adults has chronic pain. A total of 500,000 people died from an overdose involving an opioid in the last 20 years. These are sobering statistics that have caused most state medical boards to mandate CME training regarding pain management. Luckily, ACP is here to help with the Pain Management Learning Hub. The hub includes seven modules, two case studies, and three videos, with over 20 CME hours available. We have found the modules to be well organized, colorful, interactive, and a great way to pick up knowledge pearls about an important subject while fulfilling our CME requirement. Check it out today!
