Help drive ACP's new vision for health care
ACP's Health and Public Policy Committee (HPPC) and Medical Practice and Quality Committee (MPQC) are working on a series of new policy papers outlining our vision for the future of America's health care system. Important topics include coverage and cost of care, delivery system and payment reforms, and breaking down barriers to accessing care. ACP encourages members to participate in a survey to help gather input on proposed plans for improving health care in the U.S. for all Americans.
2018 MIPS Data Submission Period Ends April 2
The Merit-based Incentive Payment System (MIPS) data submission period is open for eligible clinicians who participated in Year 2 (2018) of the Quality Payment Program (QPP). Data can be submitted and updated until April 2, 2019. To submit your 2018 MIPS data, visit the Quality Payment Program website.
Participate in DME Survey
Different insurance providers and different plans within the same insurance provider often have different coverage criteria or certain patient conditions that must be met for durable medical equipment (DME). The HL7 Da Vinci workgroup, in collaboration with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, are working to develop standards-based electronic health data exchange services to improve the process of ordering DME. In an effort to better understand physicians' readiness to implement and the future feasibility for ordering DME, complete a survey to provide your input on these efforts. For more information on this initiative, please visit: go.cms.gov/MedicareRequirementsLookup. The survey closes March 26.
