Philadelphia, May 4, 2016 -- Annals of Internal Medicine, the flagship journal of the American College of Physicians (ACP), will publish several articles summarizing some of the most important studies of 2015 in the fields of women’s health, novel drug therapy, critical care and pulmonary medicine, gastroenterology and hepatology, hematology and oncology, geriatric medicine, rheumatology, hospital medicine, and nephrology.

Studies highlighted in the updates were chosen for a variety of factors, including novelty, quality, and potential impact on clinical practice. Updates in each subspecialty area include summaries of articles on a variety of relevant topic areas.

All of the updates can be accessed online at www.annals.org on May 5 at 9:00 a.m. Publication of the articles coincides with Internal Medicine Meeting 2016, ACP’s annual scientific meeting taking place May 5 -7 in Washington, DC.

“The mission of Annals of Internal Medicine is to link high quality research with patient care,” said Christine Laine, MD, MPH, FACP, editor of Annals. “By publishing these updates, we are providing internists and subspecialists with a convenient reference to information that may impact the way they practice medicine.”
