The award recognizes a Resident/Fellow member of the College who has demonstrated qualities that exemplify the College’s mission “to enhance the quality and effectiveness of health care by fostering excellence and professionalism in the practice of medicine.” For each year considered, nominees must be Resident/Fellow members as of June 30th of that year. Nominees may have outstanding achievements in any of a wide variety of areas, including leadership, medical practice, research, teaching, publications, advocacy, and/or volunteerism.
Nominating and supporting letters should address:
- What qualities the nominee has demonstrated that exemplify the College’s mission.
- The nominee's significant contributions to the areas of leadership, medical practice, research, teaching, publications, advocacy, and/or volunteerism.
- Whether the nominee's qualities exemplify ACP’s Mission, Goals and Core Values.
- Whether the nominee's achievements have an impact outside of their institution.
