The Chapter Centennial Legacy Award celebrates ACP's centennial by recognizing one influential chapter member who served the chapter and made a significant impact on the chapter's viability. The award winner should exemplify ACP's core values, including leadership, excellence, respect, compassion, professionalism, and responsibility.
Michael C. Sha, MD, FACP has been involved in ACP since his residency, holding various leadership positions. Most recently, Dr. Sha saved as the Governor of the Indiana Chapter from 2008-2012. He also served as the National Chair of the Council of Associates (now called Council of Residents/Fellows) and the Council of Early Career Physicians. Dr. Sha received the Indiana Chapter Laureate Award in 2013.
His involvement has provided continued financial/operational visibility of the Indiana Chapter. Dr. Sha exemplifies ACP's core value of leadership, excellence, respect, compassion, professionalism and responsibility.
