Reid Andress, MD, was raised in the Keweenaw Peninsula of Michigan. He received his bachelor of science degree in Biology from Michigan Technological University, and completed his doctor of medicine at the Michigan State University College of Human Medicine in 2010. He is currently chief resident of Internal Medicine at Maine Medical Center, where he completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine. Reid has a strong interest in rural medicine, as well as resident procedural ultrasound training. He has been instrumental in developing the clinical and procedural ultrasound training course at Maine Medical Center. After completing his chief year, he plans to return to Michigan to practice Internal Medicine at Portage Health System.
