We are seeking ACP members to serve as peer reviewers for the next edition of the Medical Knowledge Self-Assessment Program (MKSAP). MKSAP is a comprehensive learning management system for internists and internal medicine subspecialists that helps established physicians keep up to date in internal medicine, prepare for certification, maintain certification, and earn CME credits. External peer review is a crucial part of the MKSAP content development process, helping us to ensure unbiased, high-quality content.

As a volunteer peer reviewer, you will review unedited, first-draft MKSAP syllabus manuscript in either general internal medicine or one of the subspecialties. You will be asked to provide constructive, focused comments on the accuracy and currency of the medical content and how effectively it meets the needs of our target audience. You will not be responsible for editing the content directly.

The peer review process for MKSAP Part A sections (Cardiovascular Medicine, Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Infectious Disease, Nephrology, Neurology, Oncology) will occur from late September through November of 2022, and review of content for MKSAP Part B sections (General Internal Medicine, Endocrinology and Metabolism, Hematology, Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine, and Rheumatology) will occur in February through April of 2023.

Please note: To be considered you must be a current ACP member and post-training internal medicine specialist or subspecialist.

The American College of Physicians strives to embody a diverse, inclusive, and equitable organization that facilitates effective and respectful interaction among individuals who hold a broad range of views, and respect, empathy, and understanding of others. We encourage candidates from diverse groups, backgrounds, and practice settings to apply.

For your participation, you will receive acknowledgment on the MKSAP digital platform and a letter confirming your service.
