2024 Kansas Annual Chapter Meeting

In October, we had a successful combined meeting with the Missouri Chapter at the Elms Resort in Excelsior Springs, Missouri.

The Kansas ACP Chapter had great attendance for the meeting, and it was a great time to connect with colleagues from both chapters.

We had multiple informational and engaging sessions and speakers covering diverse topics in Internal Medicine, including a session on Wellness by our very own Dr. Segan Chase, Chair of the Wellness Committee, and a POCUS session led by a team including one of our members, Dr. Damien Riklis.

This year featured an early morning meditation session for Early Career Physicians to promote wellness and camaraderie.

We also had a robust Poster Session for both Medical Students and Residents, and an exciting Doctor's Dilemma competition.

In our post meeting survey results, our meeting received a rating of Excellent by our attendees, and of the members who claimed CME, 64% responded that they have made changes or planned to make changes based on the information they received, and 86% indicated that those changes will improve their performance or patient care.

The Mission of ACP is to enhance the quality of Health Care by fostering excellence in the practice of Medicine, and these reflections show that we are fulfilling the mission.

The following awards were presented at the Awards Luncheon at our Chapter meeting. Congratulations to all of our 2024 Awardees!
