ACP Letter to CMS on COVID-19 Vaccine Counseling

The American College of Physicians recommended to CMS that the agency provide payment and coverage for preventive medicine counseling around COVID-19 vaccinations, provide guidance to teaching physicians about the counting of time spent by residents providing care to patients in a teaching hospital for the purposes of code selection, and provide clarification on counting certain activities toward medical decision-making (MDM) when billing office evaluation and management (E/M) visits.
