Governor's Message
Summer came upon us quickly; Cheyenne Frontier Days is almost here.
I am honored and excited to assume the role of governor of the Wyoming ACP chapter. A special thank you to Rob Monger, MD, FACP for his mentorship and excellent leadership over the last 4 years.
The ACP National meeting was held in Boston from April 16-19, 2024. In addition to the interesting keynote address by Eric Toprol about AI and its implications in healthcare, we celebrated the work that Dr. Monger has done during his term as governor. Mark your calendars for our next national meeting, April 3-5, 2025, in New Orleans. It would be great to have a showing from Wyoming!
ACP Leadership Day was held in Washington D.C. on 5/14 and 5/15. Rob Monger and I had good discussion with our legislatures over coffee and donuts. Next year, we hope a few of our medical students will be able to join in on the experience.
As a reminder, our annual scientific chapter meeting will be on October 4-5, 2024, in Sheridan, WY. The council is working diligently to ensure we have an impactful educational time with topics to scope outpatient and inpatient services along with plenty of time for social networking.
Overall, I am looking forward to meeting more ACP members around this amazing state! My goal for the next 4years includes increasing membership, advancing more ACP members to fellowship, and increasing statewide involvement in ACP. Please feel free to reach out anytime. I would love to learn more about how Wyoming chapter can support you.
Thank you for your support.
