Joshua C. Ranum, MD, FACP, ACP Governor
Greetings, all.
I hope that your summers have been enjoyable and relaxing before the onslaught of school-related activities begins again shortly. Please wish me luck - my oldest is starting junior high this year. Does anyone know of a drama receptor blocker that I can start taking?
A reminder that our in-person annual meeting is on October 6 at Alerus Center in Grand Forks. We have a great program planned in conjunction with the NDMA and SHM. We've chosen very topical subjects including AI in healthcare, transgender medicine, obesity management, a future of medicine panel, and we'll end the day with a Thieves Market. It is also a great opportunity to interact with physicians from across the state and also see what the NDMA and ACP are about. I look forward to seeing a large crowd and visiting with all of you.
We are also working on additional offerings for our ACP members throughout the year. Some of these will be announced at the annual meeting and in a future newsletter. We're working on well-being offerings with our well-being champions, Q&A sessions with different specialists, and considering some regional activities across the state.
On that last note, I'm looking for help. I'd like to have a group of members from different regions across the state help spread the ACP message and identify non-members that I can reach out to. If you want to aid in membership recruitment (it doesn't have to be “knocking on doors” it can be simply acting as a reference or connector) please let me know. acpnd1@gmail.com or my cell at 701-928-0987.
Looking forward to seeing many of you at the annual meeting. Please register online at the chapter website.
