The award is given to an ACP member with outstanding accomplishments in advancing diversity, equity and inclusion in the health care workforce, and/or improving health equity for people with historically marginalized group identities.
Nominating and supporting letters should address:
- Whether the nominee’s contributions have significantly advanced diversity, equity and inclusion in the health care workforce and/or have improved health equity.
- How people who have been historically underrepresented or marginalized have benefitted from the nominee’s contributions.
- The extent of the nominee’s local, national, or international contributions and how they have been sustained over time.
