The Gift of Life Run/Walk
On Saturday (June 16, 2001), twelve Associates from the Indiana ACP-ASIM Chapter joined with other members of the community in a commitment to making a difference in the lives of others. Through participation in this Gift of Life Run/Walk, a spirit of activism and fun was created. The event was hosted by the National Kidney Foundation of Indiana, and proceeds were donated toward programs targeted at meeting the needs of the transplant community. In addition, the Run/Walk helped promote a healthy and active lifestyle among the participants.
The ACP-ASIM members joined in the true celebration of the organ donation process. We walked and ran beside transplant recipients, donors, family and friends. We were cheered at the sidelines by those who couldn't participate. On this beautiful and sunny Saturday morning, the Indiana ACP-ASIM members were proud to play an active role in organ donation. Thanks to all the participants and good job!
