Behavioral and Mental Health Integration into Primary Care Practice

The COVID-19 pandemic, the opioid epidemic, extreme weather events, increased gun violence, and other local, national, and global political unrest have taken a devastating toll on mental health while mental health professionals are in short supply.  ACP is part of a coalition of eight leading societies (5 primary care societies, 2 psychiatric societies, and the AMA) established to cultivate effective and sustainable integration of behavioral and mental health care into primary care practices.
